Optimise daylight with Olysis

Light is one of the most important elements in the built environment because it literally makes everything around us visible. With light you can evoke many different feelings or even make people more productive. Light calculations are therefore also an important chapter within Olysis.

With Olysis we do both daylight and artificial light calculations.

Calculate daylight according to the standard

For daylight, regulations require the correct amount of light entering a home through a window and the reduction of light glare. Olysis does both calculation methods automatically according to NEN-EN 17037.

But in addition to the official Dutch regulations, we can also steer on quality with Olysis, these methods are requested within the WELL or BREEAM standard.

Our parametric system allows you to easily test different compositions of number of windows with window sizes and placement, but also combined with different artificial lighting systems. By optimizing these two against each other, you can develop an effective lighting plan very quickly.

Olysis calculates more than just daylight

Olysis can calculate more than just daylight. Think of urban shade, heat, wind, but also energy. Olysis quickly calculates a large number of design options within the components that fall within the package of urban analyses and building analyses for a fixed price per calculation session.
