The use of olysis

Olysis can compute both on a large and coarse scale as well as on a small, very refined scale.


Olysis can help to optimise existing buildings by explaining which measures are useful for renovation or not. This way you can see with one single glance which measures make your building sustainable or not and whether you are going to achieve the energy performance requirements.


Olysis consists of calculation modules that we can link to BIM via an API. Based on your own BIM protocol, the system can correctly load the 3D geometry, calculate all disciplines, and return the results.


Olysis is often used from the start of a new-built project. With Olysis it is still possible to steer the design on performance and to embed sustainability and comfort in the design.

How do we do it?

We use parametrics as the basics for our studies, which means that we can rapidly generate and calculate all design variants. Thanks to this technique and our computational models, we can determine in advance what is right and wrong in the design instead of testing afterwards with lengthy revisions and iterations.

We have built the system so that it can always calculate different disciplines simultaneously (or separately). We also briefly explain each of these disciplines on our website.

As soon as you let Olysis do an analysis, you will immediately be taken under reliable hands by our professionals. By agreeing in advance which variants or designs need to be tested, we can analyze up to hundreds of options in all important disciplines super fast in a parametric way.

We deliver the results in 5 to 10 days in a clear online dashboard so that you can see exactly which variants score the best. After this you have the option to print the best variants in a nice and clear PDF report or export it as 3D file.

Urban Physics analyses

Olysis calculates the sunlight hours, shade, heat stress, sightlines, wind nuisance, urban climate and noise nuisance at an urban planning level. See at a glance whether a design works or not at this location and how the design can be improved in design or how it affects the environment.
